Character Counts: We focus on the six pillars of good character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Programs are facilitated for grades K through 12th, which focus on good decision making through effective character development initiatives. Youth are taught the importance of being a “team player”.

SMART Moves: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona is a partner with our school. This organization facilitates this nationally acclaimed prevention program that help youth avoid three of the most immediate threats to their well being: alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. SMART Moves stands for Skills Mastery and Resistance Training, and is taught to grades first through twelve.

Horses with H.E.A.R.T. After School Program: Horses with H.E.A.R.T.,(Hands-on Equine Riding Therapy), is a non profit organization, which works with disabled persons. Students 11 years and older are transported to the Whistle Stop Ranch in Dewey, to provide community service by taking care of the horses and ranch duties. This program fosters team building, and instills self-esteem and a feeling of accomplishment to those who participate.

Safe Dates: Through a partnership with Yavapai County Community Health Services, Safe Dates is a school-based program for middle and high school students designed to stop or prevent the initiation of psychological, physical, and sexual abuse on dates or between individuals involved in a dating relationship. This program ties in nicely with our SMART Moves program, since violent behavior is often linked to substance abuse.
